attributes of God - about us

God has many attributes and a some of them are captured here with Scripture references. these attributes are a good resource for prayer.

Jealous  Exodus 34:14 Do not worship any other god, for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.

Jesus  Matthew 1:21  She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins."

Joyful  John 15:11  I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.

Judge  Acts 10:42  He commanded us to preach to the people and to testify that he is the one whom God appointed as judge of the living and the dead.   Genesis 18:25  Far be it from you to do such a thing‑‑to kill the righteous with the wicked, treating the righteous and the wicked alike. Far be it from you! Will not the Judge of all the earth do right?"

Just  Deut. 32:4   He is the Rock, his works are perfect, and all his ways are just.  A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is he.

Justifier  Romans 3:26  he did it to demonstrate his justice at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.
