covenant of fellowship - about us

Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts,     Acts 2:46

as people join Faith Evangelical Church, they make this commitment with the members:

having been led by God to receive Jesus Christ as my personal Savior and Lord, and desiring to unite in the worship, fellowship, and witness of that portion of Christ's Body known as Faith Evangelical Church of Loveland, and being in agreement with the Doctrines Essential for Membership in Faith Evangelical Church, I do hereby enter into the following covenant with the members of this church.

in dependence on the Holy Spirit I intend:

to grow in my relationship with my Lord (exalt the Son).

  1. to have regular times of personal Bible Study and prayer, and to do this with my family where possible.
  2. to be faithful in my attendance at the services of the church.
  3. to give regularly to the Lord's work in proportion to my income, and on the basis of faith.
  4. to seek to serve Christ in the church and in the world.
  5. to be obedient to His Word, and quick to repent and receive His forgiveness when I sin.
  6. to seek the continual re-filling of the Holy Spirit by walking in Him.

to grow in my relationship with the Lord's people (edify the Body).

  1. to love my Christian brothers and sisters in ever-deepening relationships as Christ loves me.
  2. to be a servant to Christ's people in this church and elsewhere.
  3. to discover and use my spiritual gift(s) for the building up of the Body of Christ.
  4. to maintain the unity of the Church.
  5. to grow in my Biblical responsibilities as a member of my immediate family.
  6. to bring up my children (if any) in the love and knowledge of Jesus Christ.
  7. to come under the authority of the session and pastors of this church.

to grow in my relationship with the Lord's world (evangelize the world).

  1. to help others come to saving faith in Christ, through my example, words, and prayers.
  2. to inform myself of, to support with finances and prayer, and to prayerfully consider my responsibility in the cross-cultural work of the church.
  3. to act as salt and light in the society God has placed me in, working for His concerns of love and righteousness among people.
  4. to be a responsible citizen of planet Earth.
