the faith church story
"let us not give up meeting
together as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another -
and all the more as you see the day approaching."
Hebrews 10:25
Faith Evangelical Church began in 1984, as a group of enthusiastic believers from varied
backgrounds met to form a Bible-centered church founded upon Scriptural principles.
since
the new venture would be one of faith, the new body named itself Faith
Evangelical Church.
the group met for 54 weeks in Thompson Valley High School. through an extraordinary series
of "coincidences" and miraculous events, and the generous giving of the
congregation, God provided the present facility in November, 1985. since then, we have
reshaped and expanded the property to its present configuration. the Hall of
Faith was added in 1996.
after a year and a half of being independent, the church joined the
Evangelical Presbyterian Church, a relatively new
nation-wide denomination whose motto is "In Essentials, unity; in non-essentials,
liberty; in all things, charity."
the name of our denomination means that we are evangelical in theology and
passion, and Presbyterian in government.
