college / young adult - what's there for my family?

men of Athens! i see that in every way you are very religious. for as i walked around and looked carefully at your objects of worship, i even found an alter with this inscription: TO AN UNKNOWN GOD. now what you worship as unknown I am going to proclaim to you. - Acts 17:22-23

9:00 - Mars Hill in the morning - room 302

the mars hill community stresses relationships not religiosity, acceptance not judgment, and truth-seeking not coercion. it is a community of college students and career singles. the community combines honest discussion, a desire for a real relationship with god, and opportunities to develop authentic friendships.

the community has three important gatherings. each sunday morning at 9:00 a.m. at faith church in room 302 the community gathers for christian education. at those sessions teachers unfold god’s word for the participants or delve into a topical study from a biblical perspective.

the community also hosts a bible study each tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. in a home for bible study, prayer, discussion, and good ole’ friendship.

finally, beginning saturday, february 17th there will be a weekly gathering at the church that focuses on worship (singing, prayer, devotional, and some celebratory activity). this new weekly community night will emphasize the development of relationships with the lord and with friends.

the community also enjoys many social outings, an annual retreat, local community service, and typically an annual mission trip.

if you’d like to learn more about the mars hill community feel free to contact rob kuseski or chris perciante at (970)663-0522.

mars hill leadership team

rob kuseski is the college/career coordinator at faith church, as well as maintaining a profession as a tennis pro. a true gamer, rob is always interested in playing games of any type at seemingly any time. “i’ve lost many hours of sleep trying to reach the next level if you know what i mean.” perhaps rob’s favorite activity though is making people laugh, whether through jokes, stories, or the occasional tumble down a staircase, rob is always looking to entertain.

abilgail ackerman is a fine arts major at csu, and is currently studying abroad in spain for a semester. abigail loves books, poetry, good friends, and the mountains. abigail truly loves the lord, and would love to be able to use her passion for him and her artistic ability to someday write and illustrate children’s books.
